  1. A.A. Letters, Arts, and Sciences, Penn State, 2020 expected

I began my career at Penn State over 20 years ago in a position that worked directly with undergraduate students. Since then, I have worked with a multitude of faculty and graduate students within the College of the Liberal Arts but I found the most rewarding work had been with undergraduate students. As the Student Awards Coordinator, I have come full circle to work closely with undergraduate students once again. It is deeply rewarding to help assist a student graduate on time or to obtain a high achieving scholarship. I also enjoy the students energy of a fall semester but nothing beats the roar of our student section at home football game!

In addition to working at Penn State for the past 20 years, my family bleeds blue and white. My sister, Ashley, became a first generation Penn State graduate (CHEM ’88) as well as my husband, Jim, (OLEAD ’16). I am happy that I will join them as a first generation Penn State graduate (AA LAS ’20) next year, and our youngest son Colton will also become a Penn State graduate (MX A.A.S/EL A.A.S. ’20). WE ARE a Penn State family!

My husband (of 27 years) and I have two boys, and while we love animals, there is plenty of wildlife to witness living atop the Appalachian Mountain range about an hour north of campus. I enjoy traveling to Costa Rica yearly, 80's music, dancing, football (pro and college), and watching my husband play as the lead guitarist in a rock band.
