I was raised in a military family and moved frequently before my family settled in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Much of my undergraduate career was spent as an undecided student at Longwood University before declaring my major. At Longwood, I was involved in many student organizations and worked in various administrative offices. Ultimately my experience at my alma mater led me to the field of higher education.

After completing my degree, I began my career in undergraduate admissions at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. I served as an assistant director before enrolling in my graduate program at Virginia Tech. Go Hokies! At Virginia Tech, I held a graduate assistantship supporting student organizations and leadership development. I also held practicum positions in academic coaching, student conduct, and conferences and events.

As a new adviser, I am passionate about helping students create their own definition of success. Having been an undecided student, I enjoy hearing from students and connecting them to resources they may not have thought of regarding their academic and personal interests.
