Biography:
As an undergraduate student, I was undecided about my major during my first year. I eventually chose to major in Spanish and studied abroad in Zaragoza, Spain for a semester. I also served as a Resident Assistant for two and a half years. Both of these experiences were instrumental in my decision to pursue a career in higher education.
In graduate school, I helped plan educational trips and advised students in the Honors College at Bowling Green State University. During this time, I also had an opportunity to complete a summer internship at Keele University in England. After graduate school, I worked as a residence hall director at Hood College for two years.
As an academic adviser, I enjoy having meaningful conversations with students about their major and career interests. I enjoy working in the liberal arts, because there are so many opportunities for students to learn a wide range of skills across different disciplines.
In my free time, I play guitar, read history books, and serve at my church. I also have a small dog named Chewie and am an avid Chicago Cubs fan!
