Liberal Arts Major: Labor and Employment Relations/Labor and Human Resources
Hometown: Springfield, New Jersey
Experience Time: Summer 2022

Give us a brief summary of your experience?

This summer I was mentored by the amazing Kristie Pappal. We got to meet regularly over zoom and discuss many topics.

How did this experience impact you academically?

Meeting someone who does exactly what you want to do and through the same path is so cool. I got to hear from Kristie about her experiences as a student-athlete and how that shaped what she wanted to do. Seeing someone accomplish what you want to accomplish reassures you that you can do anything you set your mind to.

"Seeing someone accomplish what you want to accomplish reassures you that you can do anything you set your mind to."

How will this experience impact your career goals?

This experience will impact my career goals because now I have the support from someone is currently working in the field I wish to pursue and all her knowledge to help me along the way and achieve my goals.

How has the College of the Liberal Arts helped you to find and/or succeed in this experience (e.g., adviser, faculty, staff, enrichment funds, etc.)?

The faculty at the College of the Liberal Arts pushed me to apply to the program. If I did not have their help, I do not think I would have done it and would have missed out on this invaluable opportunity.
