Give us a brief summary of your experience?
I was able to study terrorism from a European perspective for three weeks and the Vikings for four weeks in Copenhagen, Denmark. I traveled to many relevant sites for both courses.
How did this experience impact you academically?
My study abroad program allowed me to experience new learning styles and methods, while interacting with relevant people and places that otherwise would have been inaccessible.
How will this experience impact your career goals?
This educational experience solidified my love of politics and history. It also gave me a desire to study abroad more and immerse myself in my studies through foreign culture, travel, and research.

How has the College of the Liberal Arts helped you to find and/or succeed in this experience (e.g., adviser, faculty, staff, enrichment funds, etc.)?
The College of the Liberal Arts helped me go on this experience through advising and enrichment funds. The previous courses I took at Penn State also helped me to excel in my studies while I was abroad, leading to an overall more enjoyable experience.
How has the Paterno Fellows Program had an impact on this experience?
Without the push from the Paterno Fellows Program, I likely would not have sought out this education abroad experience. The drive to gain international perspectives helped me to seek out an experience, despite the difficult circumstances the world is in.
