Give us a brief summary of your experience?

Joining the Liberal Arts Alumni Mentor Program was single-handedly the best decision I made in my four years at the university. I was lost in my career journey and joining the program allowed me to not only make lifelong connections, but also allowed me to find direction in my career.

How did this experience impact you academically?

My mentor and I were focused mainly on my career goals as I joined as a second semester senior, but my mentor was there for me to answer any questions I had about school and provided great resources within the university which allowed me to succeed further in my studies.

How will this experience impact your career goals?

This experience was the sole determinant of my career path. My mentor and I met every Thursday where she introduced me to members of her network who gave me advice about my resume, interview tactics, and planned out my job search approach. This all led me to finding a position with a great company, and one that I am excited to begin.

How has the College of the Liberal Arts helped you to find and/or succeed in this experience (e.g., adviser, faculty, staff, enrichment funds, etc.)?

The College of the Liberal Arts paired me with Marcy and that was the biggest help of all. I think I lucked out with getting paired with her as I have now found a great connection for future advice, but I also found a great friend as well.
