Give us a brief summary of your experience?

This internship has been a growing experience for me. I have learned the ins-and-outs of branding a business and how to successfully run one. The skills I acquired working with Melinda Maria will help me advance in all walks of life.

How did this experience impact you academically?

My internship has significantly improved my knowledge of social media marketing. I learned how to effectively attract customers to an ad, how to create them, and their importance. I also created content for the upcoming weeks and created an on-brand caption for our social media channels. Aside from this, I learned how to problem solve on a larger scale. I pushed myself to find the answers to my questions before going to my supervisor.

I learned how to problem-solve, help customers, create a product, advertise designs, and create a compelling brand. All of these skills will help me succeed in the future.

How will this experience impact your career goals?

The lessons I learned and the skills I acquired from Melinda Maria will help in any field I hope to go into. I was working and learning in a variety of areas. I learned how to problem-solve, help customers, create a product, advertise designs, and create a compelling brand. All of these skills will help me succeed in the future.

How has the College of the Liberal Arts helped you to find and/or succeed in this experience (e.g., adviser, faculty, staff, enrichment funds, etc.)?

The College of Liberal Arts has prepared me to effectively communicate. If it was not for the classes I was in, I would not have been as successful in my internship position. My classes were focused on communication, writing, and speaking articulately. Everything I learned from my classes helped me in this position.
