What was the best part of your experience?

The best parts of my experience were the unlimited opportunities I had to challenge myself throughout the trip and the connections I was able to make during my time in Italy. Everyday I was challenged to speak only Italian, something that became easier day by day. Trying new things everywhere I went was also a personal challenge I set for myself, which I conquered everywhere thanks to the encouragement and company of some friends I made along the way.

How did this experience impact you academically?

Being a triple major, I don't usually have to explain why my schedule is so busy. By studying abroad this summer, I was able to concentrate solely on one of my majors for an extended amount of time without feeling as if I was falling behind in one of my other majors. The Todi, Italy trip also allowed me to learn the Italian language in the best way -- continuous use of the language all day, every day.

How will this experience impact your career goals?

This experience gave me more than just course credits. It taught me diligence and autonomy, as well as deepening my respect and understanding of other cultures -- things that I will be able to utilize in my future career and personal life. Studying abroad puts everyone out of their comfort zone, but by giving me the opportunity to overcome all challenges associated with this, it also gave me the confidence to overcome any and all other challenges that may present themselves in the future.
