Liberal Arts Major(s): German, Political Science, Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies
Hometown: York, Pennsylvania
What was the best part of your experience?
The best part of my experience was learning about history in the place it happened. It's one thing to see pictures of incredible monuments, sites, and places of historical importance, but actually being able to be in those places while learning about it takes the education to a whole new level.
This experience will give me a competitive edge that other candidates do not have
How did this experience impact you academically?
This experience impacted me by inspiring me to add CAMS as a major. Before this experience, I was planning on minoring in CAMS, but I instantly fell in love and immediately wanted to major.
How will this experience impact your career goals?
This experience will give me a competitive edge that other candidates do not have. Majoring in CAMS already gives the German and Political Science aspects of me a major edge, but being able to say that I studied these things in the very place they happened puts my experience level far above any other candidates' experiences.
How has the Paterno Fellows Program had an impact on this experience?
I am required to do a study abroad or internship for Paterno Fellows so I was motivated to study abroad during my time at Penn State.
