What was the best part of your experience?

Besides the indescribable views, the people that I spent the week with were absolutely awesome. Every opportunity to expand your interactions with people is worth it. It was really interesting to talk with new people outside of a school setting, especially in a situation where our minds were so stimulated.

I am so grateful to have the chance to immerse myself in other cultures so that I can become a more competent and empathetic person and professional

How did this experience impact you academically?

This experience was a great way to get hands on experience in the topics we discuss in class. Going into the prosecutor's office and actually speaking with people from their local government is just one example of taking things that you read about in a book and making them more tangible.

How will this experience impact your career goals?

I have always known that I wanted to work in the criminal justice system, but this opportunity really expanded my understanding of people and how different people interact. I am so grateful to have the chance to immerse myself in other cultures so that I can become a more competent and empathetic person and professional.
