What was the best part of your experience?

The best part of my intern experience at Navigant was being given a vast amount of responsibility and having the opportunity to make an impact. During my internship, I was tasked with collecting over 6,000 data points regarding mortgage servicing fees to conduct a benchmark analysis for our client. I was given a great deal of autonomy while working on my assignment. One of the most interesting aspects of the project was the data entry process. All of the data points had to be manually entered into a database, and I oversaw Navigant's offshore team in India to complete this process.

How did this experience impact you academically?

My time at Navigant certainly influenced my academic plans for my upcoming senior year. I was able to employ my communication skills and critical thinking skills that I developed as a philosophy major throughout my internship. However, there were some technical skills that I realized I must develop. I am taking six credits my senior year to help develop my ability to use different management information systems in the work place.

How will this experience impact your career goals?

I felt a sense of fulfillment when my internship concluded at Navigant. Since the experience was also enjoyable, I have decided to return full-time upon graduation. Having this internship allowed me to get a preview of management consulting and assured me that it is a career path I want to pursue.
