What was the best part of your experience?

The best part of my experience abroad was having the opportunity to enhance my education in the field of criminal justice while being immersed in another culture. This simultaneous immersion and education allowed me to learn more about the criminal justice system of the U.S. by comparing it to that of The Netherlands.

How did this experience impact you academically?

This experience impacted me academically by affirming my interest in studying criminology and inspired me to declare sociology as my second major, which I feel will diversify me in the job market after graduation.

How will this experience impact your career goals?

This experience exposed me to careers which I had not considered before going abroad and learning about the justice system in another country. In general, this experience broadened my career goals and inspired me to apply for internships in a variety of job fields instead of limiting myself to law enforcement related work.
