What was the best part of your experience?

The best part of the experience was living with a Spanish family and being immersed in the culture. They cook for you too -- the food is SO good!

[This experience] has made me more confident in my Spanish abilities and excited to learn more about the language and culture

How did this experience impact you academically?

Participating in this program allowed me to major in Spanish. On top of that, my Spanish ability has improved far more than I ever thought it would in only 6 weeks. It has made me more confident in my Spanish abilities and excited to learn more about the language and culture.

How will this experience impact your career goals?

This impacted my career goals because I now have another language to augment skills that I learned in my science classes. Having a major in the sciences and in the Liberal Arts equips me with a diverse skill set and the ability to think critically about a variety of topics. In today's increasingly globalized workforce, I know that the ability to speak Spanish will benefit me for years to come and set me apart from the competition when applying for jobs.
