What was the best part of your experience?

Working for the past three months at Kroll has taught me more than I could have ever asked for. When I accepted my position as a Cyber Security Intern, I only knew what I had learned from my professors about cyber security. The experience that I gained working at Kroll was invaluable.

The experience that I gained working at Kroll was invaluable.

How did this experience impact you academically?

Last year I took a class for my minor called "Threat of Terrorism and Crime." This class opened my mind not only to working in the federal government but also to the good that the government does that many of us do not see daily. My professor was an ambassador for the Department of State earlier in his career, and he is the one who truly inspired me to actively pursue being a civil servant. In this class we participated in a mock G-8/G-7 summit and used skills like GEOINT, threat analysis, and research to foil a mock terrorist plot. This class has taught me a vast amount about the security sector and helped me become the analyst that I was at Kroll.

How will this experience impact your career goals?

This experience made me excited to start work and graduate and made me confident in my choice of majors.
