What was the best part of your experience?

Getting to live and work on the west coast while building upon my Penn State education was the best part of this internship. Previously, I had never been west of Ohio, and having the chance to do something bold and out of my comfort zone gave me a lot of confidence looking into the future.

I feel prepared to face my first job post-graduation with the knowledge that I have gained at USDA-NASS and through Penn State.

How did this experience impact you academically?

Academically, this experience pushed me to think about getting the most out of my class choices. I have always strived to do this, but adding on a few additional courses which have taught me new, marketable skills for the workforce has benefitted me greatly.

How will this experience impact your career goals?

This experience has shown me what it will be like to enter the job market with my degree at hand from Penn State. The opportunities that await me are exciting, and daunting, however I feel prepared to face my first job post-graduation with the knowledge that I have gained at USDA-NASS and through Penn State.
