How did you learn about this opportunity?

A friend of mine worked for AccuWeather and thought I would be a good fit for the position, so he recommended it to me.

Tell us a little bit about your experience.

I worked in the Marketing department doing both marketing analytics and communications. Part of my job involved going through a lot of data from survey responses and pulling out actionable insights. Another part involved marketing the brand both internally and externally through different forms of communication.

How did this experience impact you academically?

This internship allowed me to both learn new skills and use the skills I have learned in my classes at Penn State in a real world setting. I was given the opportunity to learn more about survey generation and analytics. It was great to feel involved in an important position with a prominent global company.

I would absolutely recommend this experience. Not only did it provide me with greater insight into the working world, but it was extremely fulfilling to see data that I had analyzed and prepared used to make decisions about advertising and marketing on different platforms for a major company.
