I asked a friend who works in consulting how I can gain work experience during the Fall, and he referred me to UPCEA. After emailing the director my resume, I got an interview and was accepted to their program.

I had a great experience at UPCEA. I got to work on many projects for different clients, so I got to learn new things every day.

How did this experience impact you academically?
The internship gave me a new perspective about the skills I need to develop to build a more solid background academically, so that they would give me a stronger profile for future employers.
What are your career goals and plans? How did this experience impact them?
I believe it is very important to find out my strengths and weaknesses before deciding my career path, and this internship was able to help me recognize them. My career goal is to be in consulting, which is a competitive field so the internship helped giving me an edge for work experience.
Would you recommend this experience to other Liberal Arts students?
I would, because like any other student, Liberal Arts students need work experience to further explore their career paths and develop technical skills. UPCEA provides interns that opportunity.
