Overview
The College of the Liberal Arts Children of Staff Scholarship Fund was created to honor and recognize outstanding achievement by an undergraduate enrolled at the Pennsylvania State University who is a child of a staff member in the College of the Liberal Arts.
Eligibility and Notification
Undergraduate students who are children of a full-time nonexempt or exempt staff member of the College of the Liberal Arts with one or more years of service in the College of the Liberal Arts and who is enrolled full-time at Penn State in any major and location including the Pennsylvania College of Technology are eligible. The student must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Recipients will be notified in writing. Fall awards will be announced at the annual College's Staff Awards reception held in February. Spring awards will be announced one year from time of award at the annual College's Staff Awards reception held in February.
Disbursement of Funds
The amount of the award will be determined by income available. This amount may change each year. Reimbursement to the student's Penn State account will be made after their GPA is confirmed of at least 3.0. Grades must be available after given semester of award; deferred grades are not accepted. These scholarships are not automatically renewable. A new application must be made each year.
