Penn State students talk about their online learning experience.
Student created video ...
My concept for this video was to inform students about online courses, their benefits, and what is required to become a successful online learner. As this project began, I developed an online survey, which was sent out to a random sample of Penn State students through a list serve. We received about 300 responses, with only five students never having taken an online course. Through the survey, we got a feel for student opinion regarding their likes and dislikes when it comes to online courses, as well as past online course experience. From these results, I compiled questions to ask in the video survey, and began the process of finding students to interview. We received responses from students in varying semesters and majors, from Psychology to Biology to Secondary English Education, all willing to participate. The filming lasted about two weeks, followed by the tedious but rewarding task of video editing. The following video is a result of a few helpful students and one determined intern.
