Programs for Prospective Students
The College of the Liberal Arts offers several opportunities throughout the year for students and families to learn more about the College and the opportunities that it offers to its students.
Prospective students (current high school juniors and seniors) wishing to add a visit with a Liberal Arts academic adviser to their tour of the University Park campus may do so by calling our office at (814) 865-2545. During such an appointment our advisers can provide students and families an overview of the programs and opportunities offered within the College of the Liberal Arts at University Park.

Spend a Summer Day Sessions (contact Undergraduate Admissions office to register)The Office of Undergraduate Admissions plans several days on which students and their families are able to gather information about the admissions process, student aid, academics at Penn State (including the majors, minors, programs offered, etc.), and student life. In additions to tours of the campus, visitors may choose to attend an information session to learn more about a particular academic college.
August:

Spring:
Offer Sessions "Dates to be announced " (contact Undergraduate Admissions office to register)
Students who have been offered admission to the College of the Liberal Arts at University Park are invited to attend one of the many offer sessions held throughout the spring in conjunction with theOffice of Undergraduate Admissions. Advisers from the Liberal Arts Undergraduate Studies office will present information about majors offered within the College, what to expect when arriving at Penn State, requirements for degree completion, and more. Following the College presentation, students and families will have an opportunity to have lunch in one of the campus dining halls while advisers are available to answer questions.
October:

Scholars Day (contact the Schreyer Honors College to register)
Students interested in joining the Schreyer Honors College in addition to the College of the Liberal Arts are invited to attend the Honors College’s full-day of recruitment activities in mid-October. Events include a visit with Schreyer Honors College staff and administrators, opportunities to meet with and hear from current Schreyer Scholars, information on honors courses, honors research, and opportunities for Schreyer Scholars.
