Graduation
To graduate, you must satisfy all the University, college, and major requirements that were in effect at the time of your most recent admission, or re-enrollment, as a degree candidate to the University. Your degree audit provides a summary of the your progress toward meeting the requirements of your degree program. It is important that you meet with your advisor at least one semester prior to the semester in which you plan to graduate to make sure you will meet all the requirements for graduation. Your advisor will assist you in reviewing your degree audit and will help you schedule the necessary courses to complete your degree program. It is vitally important that you meet with your advisor if you fail to successfully complete a course or if you plan to revise your final semester’s schedule in any way. If you are enrolled in a concurrent major program, you should meet with your advisor in both majors.
If you are enrolled in a minor, you should also meet with your minor advisor to make sure the requirements for the minor will be fulfilled with your final semester’s schedule. If you find that you can’t meet the requirements for the minor by your graduating semester and opt not to delay your graduation, you should cancel the minor in the minor department office.
