Kevin O'LearyKevin O’Leary, ’71 history, oversees the largest independent longline catcher processor fleet in the country as president and partner of Sunrunner Alaska Corporation and Alaskan Leader Fisheries. By recommendation of the Governor of Alaska, he was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to the North Pacific Fisheries Management Council, serving from 1995 to 2001. The Council is the federal body responsible for formulating fisheries policy for the 900,000-square-mile Exclusive Economic Zone off Alaska.

Kevin divides his time between Kodiak, Alaska and Scottsdale, Arizona. He and his wife Susan, ’71 Education, created the Rosario Macias O’Leary Trustee Matching Scholarship in the College of the Liberal Arts in honor of Kevin’s mother. The scholarship gives preference to Spanish majors in honor of Mrs. O’Leary’s lifelong interest in Spanish.
