Joyce Mathues, ’50 science is retired from GlaxoSmithKline, a world-leading research based pharmaceutical company. While at GlaxoSmithKline, Joyce wrote nine scientific articles and worked on the production and development of Thorazine and Tagment.

She and her husband, Charles, have endowed the Charles E. and Joyce K. Mathues Scholarship in the College of the Liberal Arts and the Charles E. and Joyce Krauss Scholarship in the Eberly College of Science.
